The Lodge Wellness Centre (Pty) Ltd is devoted to the recovery of our patients, and we are committed to ensuring the best treatment outcome for you or your loved ones. We offer discreet inpatient treatment for individuals experiencing narcotic or alcoholic crisis’. With evidence based practices facilitated by professionals and experts with an accumulated 35 years’ of experience, it is our mission and belief that there needs to be a shift in what is seen as recovery. Focusing on a shift from “punishment” to compassion when treating problematic addictive behavior we focus on the problem through self empowerment and shifting behavior by – reintegrating routine, focusing on the teachings of the 12 Step Program with and internal sponsor and teach Smart Recovery techniques; which enables our clients to take back their freedom to choose.

Our renewal center offers a transformative approach to treatment for long term, balanced wellness. With our groundbreaking partnership with smart recovery it ensures an evidence based alternative to the traditional 12 step recovery program. We therefor offer a secular option for those who have issue with the more spiritual approach of the traditional fellowship.

Because there is no single pathway to wellness that’s successful for every individual, we have seen that addiction is not a substance disorder but a social disorder which we hope to reverse in the tide of chaos in an individual. It is therefore critical for us to implement evidence based programs that address this need for social connection in addiction treatment.

Our clients will have a structured daily therapeutic timetable to follow that will consist of daily group therapy and weekly individualized therapy. The daily timetable will add value by providing a routine that consists of waking up at a certain time in the morning, lunchtimes, dinner times, and evening 12 step meetings. By implementing a daily
plan will benefit our clients in ways that allow them to change and adapt to a new way of living by reverting back to the basic foundations of self-care. Recovery is made possible by an ongoing commitment to change, our program will provide constant motivation, support, and empathy to ensure our clients receive the care they need.

Our Treatment & Services

DETOX THERAPY – The withdrawal syndromes associated with certain types of physical substance dependence can be markedly unpleasant and/or dangerous. People at risk of developing these dicey withdrawal syndromes benefit from the added supervision, monitoring and, potentially, the pharmacologic interventions availed by medical detox settings. In many instances, medication will be given to ease the withdrawal symptoms associated with certain drugs, including heroin and prescription opioid drugs.

REHAB THERAPY Effective withdrawal management and successful detox completion will allow closer focus on longer-term recovery, and that’s where the rehabilitation phase comes in. The therapy-heavy period of rehabilitation is the foundation of longer-term treatment efforts. It is through extensive counseling and therapy that you are able to address the underlying issues behind your addictions. This is when patients get to the core reasons behind their addictions, addressing those issues so they can effectively move on with their lives without going back to drugs, alcohol, or otherwise resuming their addictive behaviors.

INPATIENT TREATMENT Inpatient treatment programs strive to remove those struggling with SUDs from their old ways of life by taking them out of a potentially problematic home environment and placing them into a treatment facility that offers 24/7 care from staff personnel.

OUTPATIENT TREATMENT If you have significant work or familial obligations—such as caring for children or elderly parents—outpatient care allows you to maintain some of those responsibilities. Outpatient care is a good option for those with more mild or short-lived addictions, but may be a less optimal choice for those with serious, long-term addictions or for those with dual diagnosis conditions.

LONGTERM REHAB CARE People are individuals and react differently to situations and process. Addicts are no different, some clients need more or less care and nurturing than others. Severe addictions often result in clients needing to stay in a caring controlled environment for longer periods, sometimes even for as long as a year.

12 STEP COUNSELING The basic premise of this model is that people can help one another achieve and maintain abstinence from substances of abuse, but that healing cannot come about unless people with addictions surrender to a higher power. AA’s 12-Step approach follows a set of guidelines designed as “steps” toward recovery, and members can revisit these steps at any time. In simplest form, the AA program operates when a recovered alcoholic passes along the story of his or her own problem drinking, describes the sobriety he or she has found in AA, and invites the newcomer to join the informal Fellowship. The heart of the suggested program of personal recovery is contained in Twelve Steps describing the experience of the earliest members of the Society

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY –  individual behavioral therapy: Patients often do some self-analysis by identifying when they began using the substance and why they started misusing it. Patients receive strategies on how they can redirect their time.
Time management skills are taught to allow patients to better use their time. Patients learn to identify drug use triggers and how to deal with these triggering situations to avoid relapse. This type of behavioral therapy helps individuals reform their thinking patterns and make behavioral changes that will better route them toward a healthy, sober life.

GROUP THERAPY The addiction rehabilitation process usually includes group therapy. In fact, group sessions are the mainstay of many rehab programs. The group setting allows those recovering from addiction to interact with others who are in similar situations. It is often helpful for recovering individuals to know that they are not alone in their struggles. This sense of community support is integral to the recovery process.

FAMILY THERAPY Many addiction rehabilitation facilities offer family therapy as part of their program. In some rehab programs, family members are encouraged to participate in family therapy sessions. Family therapy can help to resolve issues so the family can serve as a pillar of support once their loved one leaves the rehabilitation facility.

Admission Process

The path to recovery is never easy. It’s important to always keep yourself motivated and remind yourself why you are in this journey.
While there is no one process used by every rehabilitation facility, Our Centre’s intake process will involve meeting with a professional to discuss treatment options and figure out what approach will work best for you. The goal is to develop a personalized treatment plan based on assessment of your medical, emotional, and social functioning. During intake, our treatment team may carry out extensive assessments that may include a medical examination, a psychological assessment, and a psychosocial assessment. In addition to information on your personal drug use history, family history of addiction, and even financial arrangements for treatment, these assessments will help best determine how the program can most optimally tailor its treatment plan to you and your needs.

Payment & Assistance

Treatment can be expensive. But there are options, programs, and resources available to help you afford the cost of your treatment. And remember, entering a rehab program is an investment in your health, happiness, future, and life.
If you have limited personal funds or you do not have insurance, there may be programs available to you that help cover alcohol or drug rehab costs. To take advantage of these options, you may need to document your income, net worth, or credit history. Use these resources to find addiction centers that offer income-based fees, lower prices, or payment plans.

The path to recovery is never easy. It’s important to always keep yourself motivated and remind yourself why you are in this journey.
A ‘therapeutic approach’ is the lens through which a counsellor addresses their clients’ problems. Broadly speaking, the therapeutic approaches of counsellors fall into two categories: behavioral and psychodynamic. Behavioral approaches are usually short-term and address your behaviour and thought patterns. Psychodynamic approaches consider your personality and family history so as to address the underlying causes of your problem.
