Hi, I am Ummah Hanie Ally,

I am a Registered, Licenced and Practicing Specialist Wellness Counsellor, PR No. SWC211113 (ASCHP).

I am a female entrepreneur whom is a firm believer in focusing on improvement and growth on my client’s needs in whichever category I provide my expertise in. I am the CEO of UHAlly Corporation which includes the following divisions: UHAlly Academy of Learning for Local, National and International Educational Excellence. My focus is based on empowering confidence in learning to believe and achieve. UHAlly International Academy of Learning is at the heart of Global Learning and Educational Excellence. UHAlly Corporation includes a division of My Specialist Private Practice. As a Specialist Wellness Counsellor I utilise a person –centred approach during therapy which focuses on the client’s empowerment, growth and wellness of the mind, body and spirit.

Education has always been a primary focus of both my personal and professional growth. It has become a primary focus of my professional practice as an entrepreneur to provide educational assistance and Specialised Counselling and therapy to people that are in need. Being a mental health advocate, I pride myself in educating my clients and community about the realities of mental health which focuses on empowerment, growth and wellness of the mind, body and spirit.

My Professional Qualifications Include:
I obtained My Bachelor of Social Sciences Degree (BSS) from Rhodes University in 2012. I have Double Major’s in: Psychology and Sociology. I pursued to further my Education in Post – Graduate Studies in Social Work. I obtained My Bachelor of Social Work (Honors) Qualification from University of South Africa in 2019. I am a Registered, Licensed and Practicing Social Worker Registered with South African Council for Social Services Professionals (SACSSP) – Practice Number 1052530. I became focused on Educating learners (Children and Adults) internationally, which motivated me to further my studies and obtain my GA Level 5 Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from I to I in 2019, Accreditation Number: 603/3955/X.

Specialist Wellness Counsellor
Specialist Wellness Counsellor is a member with an applicable postgraduate qualification on NQF level 8 and at least 100 hours of practical experience. Specialist Wellness Counsellors serve to enhance the total wellbeing of their clients by making use of a systems approach to counselling – working towards achieving wholeness within the integrative unity of body, mind and spirit. The level of counselling is that of primary health care. 

Specialist Counsellors specialize in one or more of the following areas of counselling/coaching: Individual counselling, marriage counselling, life style coaching, counselling for problems, trauma counselling, drug and alcohol abuse counselling, HIV/AIDS counselling, counselling for gambling research in the domain of counselling, addiction, bereavement counselling, hospice counselling and support and assistance in human development. The Specialist Wellness Counsellor is competent to lend comprehensive and specialized counselling support towards the improvement of the quality of life by assisting client’s in resolving conflicts, improving relationships, sorting out general problems, coping with life’s challenges and finding inner peace.

The Association for supportive counsellors and holistic practitioners (ASCHP) is the only professional body for counsellors that is recognised by SAQA A nationally recognized professional body ensures consistency in standards across and within provinces in South Africa, and across different counselling contexts.
